Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a full contact combat sport that allows the use of both striking and grappling techniques, both standing and on the ground. MMA draws from a variety of other martial arts and combat sports such as Muay Thai, boxing, wrestling, judo, and jiu jitsu.  MMA integrates striking (punching, kicking, elbows, and knees), takedowns and throws, and submissions by joint manipulations/locks, and chokes.

Team SWMA training has produced several champions.  Our team competes in regional MMA promotions including Titans of the Cage and Caged Kombat.

Being that it combines grappling, striking, and takedowns, as a student you must spend the appropriate time learning them all.  When interested in fighting MMA we will design a training regiment that specifically works on your strengths and weaknesses to create a balanced fight game.
